Explainer videos
and infographics
Over time, my role evolved to include media design, where I could fully express my visual storytelling skills — bringing life, color, and structure to digital learning environments. I designed visuals that not only supported content but made it memorable and approachable, even across cultural and language barriers.
Working between creative and technical teams taught me how to translate ideas across disciplines. It also reminded me that the best design — whether instructional or visual — starts with listening, respects its audience, and always leaves space for curiosity and growth.
While I’m proud of the work I created during my time at Lufthansa Systems, I’m unable to share specific project materials in my portfolio due to confidentiality agreements — but I’m always happy to speak about my process and role in more detail.
Illustration & Icon Design for Ethical AI Strategy and Leadership
One of my later projects was creating a set of custom icons and illustrations for PiperRussell Consultancy, a UK-based practice founded by Binnaz Saktanber — an experienced AI advocate and leadership development expert. PiperRussell supports charities, nonprofits, and forward-thinking businesses in developing ethical, human-centered AI strategies, while guiding leaders through transformation with clarity and confidence.
The challenge was to create a visual language that could express complex, often abstract ideas — like AI ethics, sustainable leadership, and strategic clarity — in a way that was not only informative but also engaging, approachable, and original.
Explanatory Video & Visual Storytelling for IVF Research
For this project, I was commissioned to create an explanatory, instructional-style video to present the outcomes of Queen Mary University of London’s research on IVF, conducted under the Remaking the Human Body initiative. One of the key challenges was to communicate sensitive, emotionally complex content — without relying on the conventional imagery often associated with pregnancy.
To meet this brief, I designed a metaphorical visual narrative that followed the journey of couples undergoing IVF. The goal was to reflect their emotional and real-life experiences in a way that was abstract yet accessible, scientifically grounded yet deeply human.
Through carefully considered design, I translated complex research findings into a story that was informative, inclusive, and empathetic — avoiding literal depictions while still honoring the depth and nuance of the subject. The final video served as both an educational tool and a public engagement piece, helping the research reach a wider audience while preserving its integrity and sensitivity.
This project perfectly merged my expertise in instructional design, animation, and visual storytelling, using design not just to explain, but to connect.
